The residential housing market in Waterloo Region continues to experience lower than normal inventory levels and higher than normal sales levels across most market segments. This sustained imbalance is resulting in increasing price trends in all segments except two. Ground-level condominiums (one, two and three storey townhouses and stacked townhouses) in Cambridge are showing price decreases over the past twelve month period and average prices for apartment condominiums in Waterloo are stable at $316,700 (Rounded).
The high number of sales is being fed by the extraordinarily high number of new listings flooding the market each month since the beginning of this year’s spring market in March. The high number of new listings and high number of sales are keeping inventories low.
